We are very lucky to have such a local treasure here in SWFL. Baltimore had the country’s 3rd oldest zoo, The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. So, my family and I were profoundly lucky to experience and explore the Zoo on a regular basis, when we lived in Maryland. In fact, we were annual zoo members, because we wanted our perennial membership to help ensure the longevity of our zoo.
So image our excitement when we came to SWFL, and we found a gem of a zoo right in Naples. Not only did it have some of our favorite animals and exhibits, like the giraffes and the lions, but we also had new exhibits, like the tigers and Asian black bears. In addition, you can’t beat the location. The Naples Zoo is surrounded by the beautiful Caribbean Gardens.
Do yourself a huge favor. When you visit SWFL and looking for a break from beaches and the coastal fun, add a trip to The Naples Zoo to your family itinerary. Enjoy the Florida sun surrounded by the tropical beauty of the Caribbean Gardens while explore your favorite animal exhibits. You can visit The Naples Zoo’s website right here.
