We need affordable housing for new and existing home buyers. A healthy, normal real estate market benefits both buyers and sellers. We want our children to be able to live the American dream of home ownership. The July 2022 Sale Figures for Fort Myers and Cape Coral show that inventories continue to grow; providing buyers more options to buy. Sellers are still recognizing sizeable growth in their home’s equity year-over-year. After several years of crazy, harrowing real estate for buyers and sellers alike, we are moving towards a normalization that is needed. Too many pundits and experts are seeking and using sensationalized rhetoric, because it gets headlines and ratings. Yes, the market is in motion, but take comfort knowing that the market is returning to a customary environment to buy or sell a home.
